Over the past few weeks, Golden Frog have been getting out and about across Yorkshire. As a company based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, we love getting to meet passionate people and getting to celebrate the best businesses across the region.
Golden Frog were lucky enough to be invited to Pavilions of Harrogate’s 21st Birthday Party. Having hosted a client event at the Pavilions, it was great to be able to go back and visit the team again. The evening saw live entertainment, amazing canapes and cocktails you couldn’t say no to. It was a real mix of people, from business owners in the area, to our new favourite couple, who chose to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary there.
Golden Frog attended the Brand Yorkshire event, also based at the Pavilions of Harrogate in early October. With over 1500 people attending, the exhibition saw the real hustle and bustle involved in business. Large chain businesses sat beside brand new SMEs, reflecting the region’s renowned business prowess. Aside from the great opportunity to network with companies from Harrogate, Leeds and further afield, the Golden Frog team even managed to pick up some exciting goodies (a piggy bank being the most notable).
Speaking of exhibitions, we attended Yorkshire Ladies Links back September. The event, at Cedar Court Hotel in Harrogate, was a networking event that focuses on celebrating women in business. Although we didn’t exhibit at Yorkshire Ladies Links, we met many passionate and business-focused women from Harrogate and beyond which created a great atmosphere to be a part of.
Golden Frog have worked alongside Harrogate Digital to help raise their profile. Having attended many of their events, and with our Managing Director, Sarah, having hosted the ‘Women in Digital’ event, we’re always excited to see what the evening has in store. The latest event saw 3 business leaders talking about how to secure funding for businesses. Although not entirely necessarily relevant to our team, the speakers didn’t fail to leave us feeling inspired and we took away a few handy tips on how we can improve Golden Frog further.
Getting to see more of the region’s businesses and meet people who are passionate about their own livelihoods is part of the job we love. Although we’re used to hosting events, getting to attend them is a welcomed change of scene. If you’ve got any suggestions of events we should attend, let us know.
