Well we’ve been busy!

May saw the culmination of a huge project we undertook for the International Fibres Group, creating a unified communication strategy which was launched at the Tech Textil exhibition in Frankfurt. This brought together the messages from IFG’s companies all around Europe, to create one sales message and one website, underpinned with new social media channels, and a new animated explainer to bring it all together and bring life to their stand at the show. We continue to work with IFG on their business development strategy and are delighted to be an extension of their in house teams, both in the UK and Europe.

We also worked with a separate member of the IFG Group, IFG Cresco in Belgium, to create a new website and brochure, which at short notice they decided to also launch at the exhibition. Creating a full website and brochure design from scratch with three weeks’ notice was no mean feat, but who needs sleep anyway?

May also saw us welcome Anna Millions on work experience from Ripon Grammar School. We definitely threw Anna into the deep end of our operation, and wish her all the best as she continues her studies with a view to undertaking a career in marketing one day. Anna got to experience first hand the hectic set up and organisation of a client exhibition, as she helped us take Samuel Grant Packaging to the Made in Yorkshire exhibition at Elland Road – a very successful day out for them, and good for them to have joined the Made in Yorkshire network. I also took Anna to take part in a round table discussion surrounding the environmental issues faced by Manufacturers across Yorkshire, a sector which is key to our ongoing business development.

We were delighted to be invited to join Connect Yorkshire, a selective group for owner/managers of businesses across Yorkshire. I have been to a few of their events now and have found them to be extremely useful, as well as having made some good business contacts and friends along the way.

And so on to June, we were delighted to welcome Diane Forster as Account Manager at the beginning of the month. Diane brings a wealth of experience across a variety of industries, has settled in well, and will be being gradually introduced to our clients over the next few months.

It’s not all work of course – we will be spending a business strategy day out of the office next week, and Thursday sees the gang donning our posh frocks and heading to Ripon Ladies’ Day. One of our clients’ clients, TopSport Equisand, is sponsoring a race there, so we look forward to judging the best turned out horse and giving trophies to the winners on their behalf, whilst obviously being obliged to sip champagne and back some winners!

So the next few months will see us launch some brand new start-ups, organise a huge charity event, do some sneaky rebranding, launch a UK company in Europe, attend and research exhibitions, train some in-house teams in social media, and undertake some new product launches, all alongside the day to day management of client communications. Should keep us out of trouble!
